I was such a big believer in Amy Myers, but participation in her candida program, including purchase of expensive candida, leaky gut and SIBO products proved very disillusioning. Her brand is truly in it for the money. At no time could I get questions answered and at no time was there any flexibility for someone who needed to slow down because their body was reacting too strongly. The leaky gut product has a few questionable ingredients for sensitive people, and it gave me very negative side effects. I stopped and started it three times, just to make sure it was the product and not something else I was eating. It was definitely the product. When I tried to return the item, they said it was too late and that I could only return it if I could also return everything else that I purchased with it. But I had ingested the remaining items, in compliance with the program! Also, paid access to a dietitian was blocked because I had a question one week following the completion of the program by everyone else. And that was only because I had to slow my pace, which they fully encouraged during the program. It all just seemed very unethical, unsupportive, and not at all aligned with the image I had of Dr. Myers previously. I thought she was an exception to modern medicine. Author and Dr. Kelly Brogan, however, is the real deal. She has changed my life!
