This series is excellent. This book is excellent. This author is excellent. I can’t get enough of the continuing travels and travails of Boone and Emily. They are always fraught and fun. In this one, I enjoyed hobnobbing with the rich and dangerous with them. Again, the author succeeds in unfolding a compelling tale with interesting characters and fast-moving, heart-racing plotlines. One of the things I liked specific to DEEP DEVIL, was the clever the way he integrated the diving in moving the plot forward. (Not that he hasn’t done that in the past, but I found it was especially effective in this one.) I don’t want to give away anything, but he describes one diving sequence that had me gasping for air. It was TERRIFYING! After reading his other books, I found myself romanticizing about going to the Caribbean, strapping on an air tank and going diving – in this one, I found myself never wanting to go near the ocean - let alone go diving. And even though it temporarily turned me off to diving - I thought it was AWESOME. I loved it. Mr. Sullivan has a way of making you feel like you are right in the middle of it all. And there are many, many other things I could go on about... Let's just say: I finished it in one reading. I can’t wait for the next one.
